The Solstice DHMO Dental plan is designed to make dental care straightforward and affordable. There is no deductible, no annual benefit maximum, and no waiting period — coverage begins on your effective date. Most diagnostic and preventive services, including routine cleanings, x-rays, and oral evaluations, are available at no cost to you. For other services, you pay a fixed copay set by the plan's Schedule of Benefits, so you always know what to expect before treatment begins. There are no claim forms to submit. This plan covers a wide range of dental needs. Basic restorative work such as fillings is covered at low copays, and more extensive services — including crowns, root canals, periodontal (gum) treatments, dentures, implants, and orthodontics — are all included at set member copays. Cosmetic treatments and orthodontic care, including options like Invisalign (at an added cost difference), are also available under this plan. Keep in mind that certain procedures marked in the Schedule of Benefits may have additional laboratory or material fees on top of the copay. To use this plan, you must receive care from a provider in the Solstice Dental Network. Your general dentist handles most services directly. If you need a specialist — such as an oral surgeon, endodontist, periodontist, or orthodontist — you can either go directly to a network specialist and receive a 25% discount off their standard fees, or get prior authorization from Solstice to pay the lower listed copays. Not all providers in the network perform every procedure, so it is a good idea to confirm available services before scheduling. This plan is best suited for people who want immediate, comprehensive dental coverage with predictable out-of-pocket costs and no paperwork hassle. It is particularly valuable for those who anticipate needing a broad range of dental services, including major work or orthodontics.
